Save the Food & I’ll come back

World war 1 was known as First World War and or the Great War and the War to End All Wars it’s lasting from 1914-1919. The war was fought by the Allies on one side, they and the Central Powers on the other.  Most of the battles were in Europe, and the war involved trench warfare and chemical warfare. This also makes more than 9 million people died on the battlefield.

How do World War I started?

World War I have a lot of causes that can start the War, but the very main reason was the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his pregnant wife Sophie. Archduke Franz, he was a nephew of Emperor Franz Josef and was heir to the throne of Austria and Hungary. The assassination was planned by a Serbian terrorist group called The Black Hand.

During the conflict, the center power fought against the allied power. Germany declared war on Russia and secretly allied with the Ottoman Empire. Germany declared war on France, and Belgium rejected Germany’s request for access to cross through their territory to the Belgium-France border. And because of all new technology, they create a lot of new weapon like Poison gas, Tank, Gun and etc. This makes the war stronger and a lot make more people die in the war.

During the War

At that time period, many countries grew stronger and start militarization and create better equipment to fight for there land, one of that is U-boats and using chemicals and creating the chemical warfare and there an effect of the war are “trench foot, trench rat, and shell shock and lack of supplies.” Most of the countries used propaganda to encourage people to join the war. Nationalism ideas can be found in some of the propaganda. The won’t know that the food rationing would be reduced over time in World War I and there would be a moment when they had to eat trench rats. These are serious problems during the war and also causes people to suffer and died. And what do the war effect? what I find in the information they say “WWI have many effects around the world. One noticeable effect would be imperialism where powerful countries would colonize weaker nations for benefits. Another country would promote their own country using propaganda. They use propaganda to promote the war and giving misleading facts about the enemies.” The propaganda that they use is known as Raping of Belgium where Germany invades Belgium and caused many problems. The Raping of Belgium began when Germany decided to ignore Belgium’s rejection and invade Belgium. Germany invasion of Belgium brought the United Kingdom into war because of Belgium and the United Kingdom .

I think this may be a good idea to use propaganda to lead people to believe but it’s bad because some information they ma lies to the people and make them believe bu not saying the truth.

Christmas Truce🌲🌧☃️

There’s also a popular event in the war. It was the Christmas truce where both sides meet at the no man’s land and celebrate. It’s started on Christmas Eve, the German and British troops sang Christmas carols to each other across the lines or “no man land” to join the no man land to celebrate Christmas. They climbed out of their trenches and shook hands with the enemy soldiers. The men exchanged presents of cigarettes and plum puddings and sang carols and songs.

I think this is a very good even, it makes you relax from the war and can rest your mind a bit from the bad thing that you need to face and be happy with your friend.

End of the WWI

In the end, the allies have the victory because of their manpower and a stronger economy. But after United States joined the Allies in World War I, and Russia left the war and the Allies to deal with the Russian Revolution, after that they try to remain neutral to preserve its isolationism, but they failed. After the fight, Germany was part of the unrestricted submarine warfare when the Germany U-boat torpedoed and sank the Lusitania. One of Germany’s last actions was when Arthur Zimmermann sent the Zimmermann Telegram to Mexico. Then the  United States found out that Zimmermann Telegram knows that Germany had bad intentions with the United States so Nicholas II abandoned him away.

Then the United state decided to join a World War I and declared war on Germany so after they fight Russia turned into a republic and The United States declared war on Austria-Hungary. Leon Trotsky signed a peace treaty with Germany. And at last Bulgaria signed an armistice with the Allies followed by the Ottoman Empire.
